The 12 Days of Christmas #12: “Twelfth Stroke Of Midnight” by Bury Your Dead!
The festivity of the twelve days of Christmas runs from 25th December to 5th January, based on an English Christmas Carol that sees a lover give gifts cumulatively over the Christmas season starting with Christmas Day. Originally published in 1780, it’s probably French in origin, Skull Island has been conquered many times in it’s rich heritage. So for the twelve days, we’re doing twelve Metal tracks that have something to do with the item. We made it!
“On the Twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven Swans a-swimming, Six geese-laying, Five gold rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree”
The party’s over at the Twelfth Stroke of Midnight. From the brilliant third album “Beauty and the Breakdown” by Bury Your Dead, here’s them at L’Anti in Québec City Canada on 21st July 2018 performing “Twelfth Stroke Of Midnight”! They released a new EP this year entitled simply “We Are Bury Your Dead” and produced by former The Acacia Strain guitarist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz. Needless to say, if you haven’t already, go and check it out! We highly recommend it!
