Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Power Trip.

It still beggars belief that on 24th August 2020 we received the news that Riley Gale from Dallas Texas crossover Thrash act Power Trip had passed away. Considered one of the most successful Thrash Metal bands of the 2010’s with their blend of Thrash and Hardcore Punk, Gale had fronted the band since it’s formation in 2008 and in 2017 with album “Nightmare Logic” in the billboard charts in the US, he achieved his biggest accolade, a Grammy Award nomination in the “Best Metal Live Performance” category for “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)“. We had the pleasure of their live show as they joined Venom Prison in supporting Trivium on “The Sin And The Sentence” tour at Brixton Academy in London, a night that will be long remembered for not only the performances themselves, but a lot of fainting in crowd due to the extreme heat.

So to our head to head in tribute to Riley Gale. In the Red corner we have Hellweed performing the track at Harvest Fest in Moscow, Russia on 19th September 2020, pro-shot and with mixed and mastered sound by Igor Butz of Pentagram House. In the Blue corner we have London Metalcore merchants Enquire Within who launched their own covers series during the Great Plague with debut album “Bloodlines” and a live record already under their collective bullet belts. Who Wins? You Decide! Rest in Power Riley, for you are missed.
