The Black Map #205: Burning The Dream from Glasgow!

Once again travelling the length and breadth of the United Kingdom in search of bands to spread the word about on a Sunday morning for one of our longest running features known as The Black Map, we find ourselves North of the border asking that most important of all questions… What do you call a band from Glasgow Scotland at the more shall we say extreme end of Progressive Metal who wear influences on their collective sleeves like tattoos from Death Metal, Thrash, Nu-Metal and Metalcore genres? You call them Burning The Dream. They announced themselves to an unsuspecting World in 2016 (?) before christening their debut EP “Dark Waters” in 2018 by breaking a sacrificial bottle of champagne over the bow as the ship was named aloud and launched out onto the seven seas of Metal. That led to shows with everyone from Bearers to Karybdis and TrendKill as the band made their name following Wednesday 13 and running down a dream [God these puns are awful ~ Ed] as they played the life out of that near 25 minute belter. Do we want more?! Do Bears s*** in then Woods?! Someone get them into the studio for the love of all things Metal!
