Saturday 27th August 2022 will mark the 5th Anniversary of Webzine MetalNoise.Net, a source of news, reviews and features that specialises in supporting the lesser lights of heaven. So to celebrate we’re going to bring 8 bands to Reading Facebar for one day of wall to wall Metal!

Here’s the line up in full:

  • Harbinger (Headliner)
  • Arimea
  • Weaponry
  • Tyrants
  • Spoiler
  • Beyond Extinction
  • Born In Dissonance
  • My Latest Failure

Fresh from the 25th Anniversary tour with Polish Death Metal pioneers Decapitated are our headliners Harbinger. They’ll be releasing a new mini album on 25th May titled ‘A Letter To Anguish‘, their first with new vocalist Dilan Alves so expect thick groove laden riffs and shredding solos in plentiful supply!

They’ll be joined by Blood Blast Distribution signings Spoiler, who are ridding high on the tidal wave of crushing singles including the brilliance that are both ‘Modern Messiah‘ and ‘The Nihilist‘ that blend Modern Metalcore with Nu-Metal and Hardcore. They only started playing shows in January and have already reduced a few to rubble!

Reading Post-Hardcore Kings Weaponry will not only be playing their current EP ‘What Have We Done‘ but also their forthcoming EP ‘Forever Nothing‘ in full, which will find us front and centre screaming along to anthemic cuts like ‘Something I Lack‘ and ‘My Name Is Glory’.

Known for their ferocious live set, purveyors of crushing riffs and thunderous percussive battery Tyrants have clocked up more than 200k of Spotify streams across a collection of venomous singles at the heavier end of Metallic Hardcore, so get ready for the circle pits as ‘Apostle‘ kicks in!

Oxford DJent loving Alternative Metallers Arimea have been busy releasing singles since their 2019 EP ‘Castle Bravo‘ with ‘Never Really Over‘ clocking up the better part of 29k of Spotify Streams. Expect to join frontwoman Whitney Cooper for a sing-a-long anthem or two!

Essex Death Metallers Beyond Extinction have not only been highly thought of by ourselves but also by those at Kerrang! Magazine who celebrated them as bringers of ‘Metal of the highest order‘. So you can expect the pit to get rowdy as they perform cuts from ‘The Fatal Flaws Of Humankind‘!

Coming in swinging from the South West are Born In Dissonance, a powerhouse quintet looking to make tectonic plates shift with their rumbling bass. Fresh from Vicfest in April where they shared the stage with the likes of RXPTRS and Chaos Sequence, they’re new double A side “Bravo India Delta” has been troubling our head set!

Last but by no means least Hardcore Injected Punk trio My Latest Failure will be playing everything they know. So you can expect an adrenaline fuelled set of earworm riffs and catchy sing-a-long choruses from them including the anthemic ‘Voices‘.

All of that will be compered by former Siderian frontman David Pope and if that wasn’t enough we’ll be giving away some Merch to boot! All of this in association with Oxford’s Rabidfest! So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets here!
