The Black Map #272: Our Hollow Our Home from Southampton! (Reading Rising IV Edition)
As the final run in to the biggest Party in Reading this side of the summer begins, Elucidate exit stage left from the Red Room line up to be replaced by Pinewall. What are we talking about? The fourth incarnation of Reading Rising Festival which will of course take place on 18th November. The place to be is The Facebar, which will see zero clashes between no less than twelve bands spread across two separate stages. That means you don’t have to stand around like a lemon making idle chitchat with your mates waiting for the stage to be turned around. Unless of course you want to?! Watch one band, grab a beverage and watch the next. The bar is on the way between the stages so there is no excuse to miss out on any of the music.

What can we say about Our Hollow Our Home? The Southampton based Metalcore merchants underwent a rebuild from the ground up earlier this year with an entirely new line up created around original member and last man standing Tobias Young. All of that is covered by their insightful “The Road To Reform” documentary of course but if you’re nervous about the new line up you don’t need to be. Having witnessed them open for American Party Deathcore outfit Attila at the Camden Underworld show of the 10th anniversary tour for “About That Life“, we can promise you they are just as good live as they have ever been. Signed to Arising Empire, they have dropped single “Downpour” as the first with the new line up, the video for which has 348k of streams on YouTube alone, a testament to just how good it is, so surely it can’t be long before they offer up a new album? We hope for a new song in the set at Reading Rising but we all know they have a wealth of sing-a-long choruses and breakdowns galore to keep us happy either way!
