The Black Map #29: Polar from Guildford!
It’s about time we said something more about Polar. Hailing from Guildford in leafy Surrey and signed to Prosthetic Records, their fusion of Hardcore and Heavy Metal alongside what they stand for has got them noticed. They are a regular on the European tour circuit having played the Impericon Never Say Die Tour in 2016 and signed up for it’s upcoming 2018 incarnation. The band have also enjoyed touring the UK with the likes of Canadian Hardcore Punks Counterparts and Australian Metalcore crew Parkway Drive. They’ve been active since 2009 and have a quartet of releases in that time including a trio of full length albums. Not bad for a band with ethics from a part of the World that you would usually associate with upper class leanings. Current release “No Cure, No Saviour” is out now.
You can catch Polar with Northlane, Being As An Ocean, Alazka, Casey, Currents & A Thousand Below at a quartet of UK dates on the Impericon Never Say Die! Tour in November;
4th London, Koko
5th Bristol, SWX
6th Mancester, Club Academy
7th Birmingham, Asylum
