Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Duran Duran

The subject of today’s head to head is “Come Undone” by Duran Duran. The highly influential New Wave band formed in 1978 and enjoyed huge success throughout the 80s. They’ve been covered multiple times including most notably by Deftones and count among their fans KoRn vocalist Jonathan Davis. The track itself was the second single from the bands 1993 self titled album, which like “The Black Album” by Metallica often goes by the title “The Wedding Album” as that is what’s depicted on the cover art. It dropped into radio after the success of “Ordinary World“…

…in the red corner we have Bad Owens who unveiled their version of the song for the deluxe version of their Sumerian Records released “Finding God Before God Finds Me“. Their headlinging tour will stop on a dime so that Suicide Silence can join the party for the release show of their new album “Become The Hunter“. In the blue corner we have Metalcore heroes It Dies Today who included the song as a hidden one off the back of their third and last album “Lividity“. Sadly it doesn’t look like they’re going to be back, in no small part down to Trustkill Records. Who Wins? You Decide!
