Currently four singles deep into the waterfall release of their sophomore album “Disillusioned“, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ross Walker (Sore Teeth, Bitchin’ Hour, My Latest Failure), Farnborough five piece Stone Soup float in the tranquil waters of the Bermuda Triangle between Stoner Metal, Blues Rock and Doom. Blowing smoke rings into the sky as they sip Espresso Martinis and create riffs to be worshipped with cuts like “Iron Horses” and “Purgatory” the perfect accompaniment for a night drive or a hungover Sunday morning. If the vintage guitar tones with their roots going back to the 1970’s and Black Sabbath don’t get you then the harmonica will. In November at Rabidfest they’re going to make for a few minutes respite for swaying like marionettes [Insert obligatory Megadeth joke here] and raising a poison chalice of proper beer between some of the more skull crushing acts because lets face it, variety is the spice of life. Making their live debut in 2017 the band released their self titled debut album in April 2018 and haven’t looked back since. Sharing stages with Morass Of Molasses, Broken Calling and Gutlocker to name but a few before a run in this years Metal 2 The Masses competition in Oxford took them all the way to the final where they lost out to Shoot To Kill. Not bad for a group of riff lords for whom Monster Magnet and Clutch are heroes…
We’re proud to be a Media Partner of Rabidfest again this year alongside Red Death Media, Moomin Merchandise, Metalplanetmusic, Moshville Times, GraphicsFix, Unearthed Music and main stage sponsor Devolution Magazine. The Festival is all for charity and this year the profits going to the The Sophie Lancaster Foundation!
