The Black Map #261: InAir from Reading! (Reading Rising IV Edition)

12 bands. 2 stages. 0 clashes. That’s what you can expect at Reading Rising IV on 18th November at The Facebar in Reading as this year’s incarnation of the annual one day event moves from early Summer to late Autumn. As variety is the spice of life, the organisers love to bring out a curious mix of Metal, Rock and Post-Hardcore bands with local heroes and up and coming underground acts. In the past, these have included Forlorn, TheCityIsOurs and Defences to name but a few. Here’s the line up so far…

Our Hollow Our Home
Confessions Of A Traitor
InAir
Nervendings

So who exactly are InAir when they’re at home? Well… They’re a three piece Alternative Rock band who started their journey at some point in 2015. They released a three song single in “Meant To Be” in the summer of 2016 and haven’t looked back since, building on those foundations with debut EP “A Different Light” in 2017 and following it with 2019 EP “Dreamful“. Each of those records have found the band contrasting clean guitar tones with atmospheric synths and a fondness for an arena sized chorus.

Warmly received by Kerrang!, BBC Berkshire and Gig Radar to name but a few, those records paved the way for a myriad of shows supporting everyone from the much loved Arcane Roots to Press To Meco. Gradually evolving to take in a wider range of their influences from the interconnected Worlds of Rock and Metal, more recently the band have begun the waterfall release of a collection of singles. Their most potent work to date, so far those three have surpassed 80k of Spotify streams alone, the freshest of those being the 31st July appearance of “Leap Of Faith“.

We’re proud to be a Media Partner of Reading Rising IV. If you want a ticket for this year’s incarnation you can find them here.
