NEWS: Buried Realm enter a world of perpetual darkness?

Since 2017 multi instrumentalist and vocalist Josh Dummer has creating top tier Melodic Technical Death Metal with a myriad of guests in his project Buried Realm. Returning with album number four “The Dormant Darkness” on 4th April the Colorado Springs based musician has once again outdone himself on that front with no less than nine hired guns appearing across eight fresh cuts. The first of those to see release is “Where the Armless Phantoms Glide, Pt. II“, a single which features none other than Björn “Speed” Strid of Soilwork.

Josh Dummer comments: “Where the Armless Phantoms Glide, Pt. II. marked the beginning of the album’s journey—a foundation upon which the rest of the material would grow. It began with a vision for gritty power metal vocals and ‘spider-esque’ riffing that seemed tailor-made for clean, commanding vocals. As the track evolved, it took a turn towards a darker, more cinematic tone, which led me to collaborate with [Soilwork vocalist] Björn Strid, whose vocal style perfectly matched the transformed spirit of the music. The inclusion of Heikki’s powerful drumming and Francesco’s orchestral elements further enhanced the cinematic quality of the track”

The upcoming album “The Dormant Darkness” is not simply a collection of songs but a showcase featuring an impressive line-up of guest artists:
